Description FAMAG Classic Metric Forstner Bit are a traditional cylinder boring bit with centre point, two main cutting edges and two taper taps. Cuts tear free accurate holes in soft wood and can also be used for European hard wood and veneered boards. Especially easy to resharpen due to the straight taper taps. Made from alloyed tool steel. Recommended drill speed: 700 – 3000 rpm. e.g. Ø 15 mm 2300 rpm in soft wood Available in both Metric and Imperial Sizes and in sets. Stationary deep-hole drilling is possible with the Famag extension shank product line 1639. Cylinder boring bits are only suitable for stationary operation.
