Description These Joseph Marples’ Squares are part of the Trial 1 range made from designs produced over 70 years ago. The Trial 1 range features some of the highest quality specifications expected in these measuring and marking tools. The squares are made from plantation grown Rosewood and have 1/8th inch thick machined brass on both the inside and outside faces, thus ensuring accuracy on the inside and outside edges. They have a chemically blacked spring steel blade, secured to the stock with brass diamond washers and steel rivets. All the squares are tested twice for accuracy during manufacturing and once again before despatch. The squares are tested on both the inside and outside faces, and Marples’ specification for the internal angle is twice as accurate as that specified in the British Standard, an accuracy better than 0.01mm/10mm blade length. Available in three sizes: 6″, 9″ and 12″.
